Cookies
Master Index pages will generate a cookie. This cookie allows the site to recognise who is logged in. Currently no user-facing parts of the site require a login.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Master Index searches
When using the master index search function we retain the request details in order to improve the service. There may also be a need in the future to restrict traffic originating from specific IP addresses. This will only ever happen if we receive excessive traffic from a single IP address.
The data stored is as follows:
- Date and Time of the search.
- IP address where the request originated.
- Search term provided.
- Which products and tags were included in the search.
How long we retain your data
Search details will be retained indefinitely in order to improve the service. The only information stored is listed above.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Information of specific searches is never shared with any other company or individual. Search details will only ever be made public in a condensed form, such as, ‘most popular searches this month’, and IP addresses will never be made public.
